Gorai- Short escape to Tranquility

It all started with a heart of exploration and keen mind to learn about new places nearby. a best bet that a man being a person on low budget living in Mumbai or Thane.... and that's GORAI. It happens so that I am gifted with the power of biking and the roads lead to many places, best bet that I can have to enjoy my day and have enough time to come back home in a not so disheveled manner is the place lying in nature's lap GORAI.

One of the best places in Mumbai for lovers where you can catch hands play all kinds of games at least as far as I know, the place is laden with its own beauty and peace. a short time of vacation that your burnout brain asks for is answered here in its beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Just like all my plans this too was made all of a sudden with an extra set of clothes with my friend and me, we set out to explore the other side of Mumbai which lies not far from Borivali a place called Uttan district... This place is a real head turner with greenery all along the travel-way, the peaceful surrounding coupled with silence that you absorb is no way fitting the expression of noisy and polluted city of Mumbai where every person looks the other in a scornful manner even on a good day. We started our journey from thane at 9 am with 2 bag-packs filled with light snacks, water and pair of clothes for each and a half tank of fuel in my precious bike, through Ghodbunder road we traveled smoothly into a bit  noisy Mira-Bhayender road which eventually lead us to Uttan district, through this way you can travel to Essel World amusement park which too is a great place to spend your day.

Through this route a beautiful Golden Pagoda is visible which is situated within the amusement park, drive on the route using google maps which will very well lead you to Gorai beach. The route is easy to ride and soothing, since it touches your soul with its natural bliss, once you reach the beach you can park it inside the beach area obviously, when the tides are low and sea receded.

The moment you enter the lane leading the beach you will see many people offering rooms at low rent rates don't bother them if you have come just for a day's trip and so you lead yourself into the beach laden with a string of food stalls over it, my personal favorite being 'chana chaat' and her's being 'kacchi kairi' which you can enjoy with the beach's serenity. The soft wind of beach touches your body and you literally feel at peace, unclouded and unburdened with the worries that you took along with your journey just magically disappears from your mind. Poof!!!

My explanation of what beach felt like, is something that is incomplete because the emotions of happiness and realization of life that goes into you is something always less explained, it is my humble request that you visit this place to experience liberation and peace of mind.

This trip only inspired me for further endeavors and made me understand that meditation can be done and harmony of mind and body can be achieved in any manner and travel to such places tops the list, even above meditation that you do sitting in the corner of a room, a perfect anti-virus for your life is what I can explain this place if someone asks me to explain about this place.
You have to be present to know, learn and understand... and the same goes for this place.
